AirAsia Philippines, a joint venture between the AirAsia Group and businessman Antonio Cojuangco, will have four aircraft in its fleet by the end of 2012.
As reported earlier (see story here), upon regulatory approval, the carrier will begin commercial flights from its base in Clark to Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, Bangkok and Incheon.
This is AirAsia Group’s fourth such venture with another one with All Nippon Airways (ANA) confirmed (see story here) reflecting a low-cost carrier boom in the Asia-Pacific region.
