Starwood Hotels & Resorts has announced it will open a third W Hotels property in Los Angeles.
W Los Angeles Downtown is scheduled to open in early 2019 and will be located within a mixed-use development at the corner of S Figueroa St and 11th St opposite the LA Live entertainment complex.
Facilities at the 250-room hotel will include a 465 sqm spa with eight treatment rooms, a 230 sqm outdoor swimming pool area with bar and grill, and 1,420 sqm of meeting and event space.
The property will be constructed during the first phase of the mixed-use development project. Once complete, the development will include 650 residential apartments and up to 7,430 sqm of retail and restaurant space.

W Los Angeles Downtown will join W Los Angeles - West Beverly Hills and W Hollywood.
Starwood will open a W hotel in Amsterdam, the brand's seventh property in Europe, on October 9 (see news, August 19).
