Starwood will open its first hotel on the Asian side of Istanbul later this year.
The new-build Four Points by Sheraton Istanbul Dudullu will be the brand's first property in Turkey. It is scheduled to open "at the end of 2014".
The 182-room hotel will be located a 20-minute drive from Sabiha Gokcen Airport.
Part of a multi-use complex, it will feature four meeting rooms, three small boardrooms, complimentary wifi in public areas, an all-day dining restaurant, bar and fitness centre.
The hotel will open as a franchise agreement with Ever Group.
Starwood currently has ten hotels across five brands in Turkey, of which four are in Istanbul — Sheraton Istanbul Maslak Hotel, Sheraton Istanbul Atakoy Hotel, W Istanbul, and Le Meridien Istanbul Etiler.
Hilton Worldwide has just opened its first Hilton Hotels & Resorts property on the Asian side of Istanbul (see news, September 16).
