Virgin Trains is refurbishing its First Class lounge at London Euston station.

Starting on January 31, the facility will undergo renovation for seven weeks before reopening on March 17.

Among the upgrades will be new interiors, more seats, "improved" wifi connectivity, an expanded range of food and drinks and a new business area.

During the works, Virgin will offer its First Class customers a voucher to use at "selected outlets" at Euston station that will entitle them to a hot drink and pastry or muffin.

Richard Shotton, Virgin Trains' stations major project director, said: "We will do everything we can to minimise the inconvenience to our customers when the First Class lounge is closed for upgrade works.

"In March, they will see a refurbished lounge with new interiors and more seats and I am sure they will appreciate the improvements."

Virgin's London Euston First Class Lounge first opened in April 1998.

Long long long overdue, the place is a complete, filthy, tip and is an embarrassment to staff. I hope he (RB) employs some regular cleaners too with Dysons and hard surface cleaner to keep the floor, tables and work surfaces clean. Surely thats not too much to expect?

So who makes the voucher offer then? I bought my ticket, nobody offered a voucher and I arrived at the lounge, lots of chipboard but no vouchers.
I guess that's based on the customer feedback?
Very unhappy!!
