Hong Kong Airlines has announced it will launch a seasonal three-time weekly service to Moscow Vnukovo International Airport (VKO) from May 18 to October 27.

The airline foresees significant demand for travel to Russia in the middle of the year, as the country plays host to the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Michael Ma, commercial director for the carrier, says: “Hong Kong Airlines is committed to helping more travellers see the world with our growing international network. With Russia hosting the 2018 FIFA World Cup, we are excited to offer our customers more travel options into the country’s capital.”

The route will be operated by an A330-300, offering 32 business seats in a 1-2-1 configuration and 260 economy arranged in a 2-4-2 setup.
