British Airways is set to launch a nonstop route to the Seychelles.

From March 24, the airline will fly direct from Heathrow T5 to the island of Mahé twice a week using the Dreamliner.

Flights will depart from London on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 1750, arriving in Mahé at 0700, with the return leg departing Thursdays and Sundays at 0900, arriving at Heathrow at 1620. Return fares start from £699 in economy, £999 in premium economy, £2,499 in business and  £3,499 in first.

British Airways’ director of network and alliances, Sean Doyle, said:

“The Seychelles is one of the most beautiful places on earth and we’re delighted to be adding this collection of islands to our extensive route network.

“Customers can now get into ‘holiday mode’ even earlier with British Airways’ direct flights from London taking 10 hours, instead of over 13 hours with a connection in the Middle East.

“As one of the leading luxury holiday destinations, the Seychelles offers customers a wide range of accommodation and activities in stunning natural surroundings.”
