Furama Hotels debuts in Kuala Lumpur

Furama Hotels opened the doors of its first Malaysian property in Kuala Lumpur's prominent Bukit Bintang district.
The 433-room Furama Bukit Bintang is a short walk away from major shopping malls and the Imbi monorail station. It consists of a ballroom and four function rooms, all located on the top floor and accommodating up to 250 guests. It also offers an executive lounge, featuring daily breakfast and free cocktails and snacks in the evening. Leisure facilities include a swimming pool, a gym and three F&B outlets including the poolside bar.
With 40 hotels in its portfolio so far, Singapore-based Furama Hotels International aims to open 60 more hotels over the next five years within the Asia-Pacific bringing their total to 100 properties.

OMG, this is nowhere in Bukit Bintang... Walking distance to Imbi Monorail station in 5 mins? Well, rather not tolerable at all under hot sweltering Malaysian sun. Berjaya Times Square might be around the corner (i.e. 5 mins walk under the sun), but to get to other major shopping malls in Bukit Bintang, a good stamina and strong legs are definitely required. I still favour if a big hotel chain would take over the rather shady looking of jalan Changkat Bukit Bintang though as the area is rather mixed...
