Service apartment provider Saco has launched new design-led brand “Locke”.
The group says that the new offering will “combine the best aspects of boutique hotels and serviced apartments to deliver an enhanced new concept that meets the needs of today’s business traveller”.
Named after 17th century English philosopher and physician John Locke, the first Locke property will open on Leman Street in London’s Aldgate district in October, and will feature 105 studios and 63 one-bedroom suites.
Leman Locke will also offer two meeting rooms, a gym, two bars, all day dining facilities, “large amounts of indoor / outdoor lounge area”, and “ultrafast wifi”.
Saco says that Locke properties “will be designed to reflect the local neighbourhood’s culture, taking inspiration from the local area to connect guests with like-minded locals and other travellers”.
Further Locke properties are set to be rolled across the UK and Europe from 2017.
