First look: V Wanchai² in Hong Kong

Hong Kong-based hotel and serviced apartment provider has opened its sixth property in the city, which is also its first fully dedicated hotel property. The 79-room V Wanchai² has four room types: with 30 of them named luxe, measuring 360 sq ft to 380 sq ft (33 sqm to 35 sqm), 10 deluxe at 600 sq ft (56 sqm), 26 premium deluxe at 500 sq ft (46 sqm) and 13 V grand suites measuring 740 sq ft (69 sqm). The luxe and deluxe rooms have city views while the rest feature a mountain view. Continental breakfast and evening cocktails are served at the terrace garden, and every room has a long work desk – amenities that other properties in the group do not offer. Other offerings include free in-room wifi and cable TV. Select rooms have wine coolers and washer-dryers. The interior features a boutique-inspired and quirky design, with marble detailing and floral motifs throughout. The property is near the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and a few minutes' walk from the Wan Chai MTR Station. This new opening has increased the number of units under the “V” portfolio to 395, with the other properties being V Happy Valley, V Wanchai, V Causeway Bay, V Causeway Bay² and the Lodge in Kowloon.
