StayWell Hospitality Group plans to open five hotels in India by the end of 2016.
The Australia-based group currently operates three properties in the country — one in Gurugram and two in Jaipur.
Its new properties will be under the Park Regis and Leisure Inn brands, and located in Hyderabad, Goa, Jodhpur, Mumbai and Greater Noida.
The group is in talks with two owners looking to join the StayWell portfolio.
On the group’s interest in India, Simon Wan, Group CEO and MD of StayWell Hospitality Group says,
“I continue to believe that India would be one of the fastest growing accommodation and tourism markets in the world. With a large population size, large middle class and a large youth population and better air connectivity, the potential here is very huge.”
