25 Apr 2016 by Clement Huang

Rosewood Hotels and Resorts has taken over management of the Capella Washington DC, renaming it the Rosewood Washington DC.

Located in the historic Georgetown district, the boutique property offers 49 guestrooms and suites, each featuring a touch-panel, in-room technology system with wifi and wired internet access, as well as bed(s) dressed in Pratesi linens.

Rosewood Washington DC is also home to a number of dining options. Guests can choose from seasonal dining at the Grill Room; cocktails at the Rye Bar; and light snacks at the Rooftop Bar & Lounge.

Recreational facilities include an infinity-style pool on the roof, as well as a fitness centre and spa. Event spaces total 559 sqm.

“Rosewood Washington DC is an exciting addition to Rosewood’s collection of properties and strengthens our presence in North America,” said Sonia Cheng, chief executive officer of Rosewood Hotel Group.

“The hotel draws on the capital’s rich culture and history to express Rosewood’s trademark philosophy of ‘A Sense of Place’ in innovative and memorable ways.”
