Jet Airways will launch a new daily flight between Delhi and Muscat from March 21.

Currently Oman Air and Air India – the national carriers of both countries – are the only airlines that offer a non-stop service between the two cities.

Oman has been an attractive destination for Indian business travellers, and the new Jet Airways flight will give Indians more travel choices in terms of time and airline.

Gaurang Shetty, Senior Vice-President – Commercial, Jet Airways said:

“It is indeed a proud moment for us at Jet Airways to launch our maiden international flight between Delhi and Muscat.

“This is a significant milestone for enhancing the strong ties between India and the Sultanate of Oman. With the launch of this flight, Jet Airways guests from Northern India, SAARC and ASEAN regions will have the option of travelling to Oman via Delhi.”

Flight 9W598 will depart Delhi at 2315 until March 26; after this date it will depart at 2325. Similarly, flight 9W597 from Muscat will change its departure time from 0230 to 0245 starting March 27.
