As part of an extensive US$30 million refurbishment project, The Langham, Hong Kong has unveiled two new suites.
“We are proud to introduce two new signature suites, the Penthouse Suite and Director Suite. Only one of each kind, these suites provide luxury at its finest,” said the hotel’s managing director, Bob van den Oord. “Both suites have personalities of their own, reflecting elements in which the hotel is located.”

The new interiors were done by G.A. Design, with the aim of creating a luxury residential feel, and develop an individual look for each suite. Both suites feature distinctive living spaces with character pieces of bespoke furniture.

First on the list is the Penthouse Suite that measures 125sqm in size. The design of this two-bedroom suite resembles classy fashion houses in Europe, and features soft tones of cream, silver and touches of red-violet.

The living room has a decorative fireplace while the dining area can accommodate a family of six. Handcrafted furniture enhanced by silk upholstery complement the suite’s diamond-cut mirror panelling, crystal chandeliers and lifestyle furnishings.

Additionally, the Penthouse Suite offers two Italian marble bathrooms with separate bathing and shower areas.
Director Suite
Meanwhile, the design of the 89sqm Director Suite was influenced by the Avenue of Stars, located just minutes from the hotel site. With a warmer palette of black, grey and sepia, the one-bedroom suite blends Asian elements with its own artistic individuality.

Featuring jewel accents and polished veneer, the entrance sets the stage with monochromatic mirror walls that lead directly into the living room. Guests can choose to watch a film on the 46-inch high-definition television, or enjoy reading a vintage book from the hotel’s extensive library collection. There is also a custom-made working desk and director’s chair for travellers to work, as well as a dining room where up to six guests can wine and dine together.

There are also two bathrooms in the Director Suite, with the main one offering a full-sized bathtub as well as an independent rain shower. The supplemental guest bathroom is made with imported white and gold marble and features luxury bath products.

Guests staying in both suites are afforded entry into the Langham Club lounge, and have access to a personal guest experience manager and a dedicated shopping butler.
Standard amenities also include assorted spirits, iHome docking stations, Wedgwood chinaware and crystal glassware, as well as his and her accessories sets. Fresh flowers and welcome champagne are also provided to guests that choose to experience the hotel’s top tier accommodations.

The second phase of the refurbishment project is due to begin later this year, with The Langham, Hong Kong due to introduce one more suite type.
