SIZE Approximately 278 sqm with an outdoor terrace at an altitude of 490 metres

SIZE  60 sqm

EQUIPMENT Two treadmills, a cross trainer, cardio wave, bike, reclined bike, abdominal bench, workout bench, dumbbells holder and two stretching machines

HOTEL INDONESIA KEMPINSKI JAKARTA

LOCATION Level 17

SIZE 250 sqm

EQUIPMENT There is every thing from the barbell, leg press, Smith machine, jungle (for chest), lat pull down to shoulder press, Swiss ball, medicine ball, TRX, treadmill, cross trainer, static bike and recumbent bicycle. There is also a boxing and Muay Thai workout area.

VIEW The gym is exclusively for the use of hotel guests and Kempinski residence tenants, and overlooks the very centre of Jakarta's central business district

X FACTOR The view aside, this is one of the most well equipped hotel gyms we have ever visited. Personal trainers are available, although you have to book packages starting from 11 sessions. However, if you need tips on how to use the equipment the staff would be happy to help you for free.

CROWN METROPOL MELBOURNE

LOCATION Level 27; adjacent to ISIKA Day Spa’s zero edge indoor pool and beauty salon

EQUIPMENT There is a row of treadmills and exercise bikes looking out to the windows, and the other quintessential items such as a workout bench, Swissballs, yoga mats and resistance exercise equipment. There is another setup with a bar for chin-ups, although there is no padding so it was quite rough to the palms.

VIEW Sweeping view of Melbourne's central business district

EXTRA Person trainer can be booked for A$75 (US$70) per hour. The whole wellness floor is designed to feel airy and open, and so just being here already makes you feel relaxed and refreshed.
