ANA enhances customer experience at Haneda Airport

7 Mar 2014 by Clement Huang

All Nippon Airways (ANA) will be introducing a number of improvements to its customer service at its base in Haneda Airport in order to support the airline’s continued international expansion.

From March 30 onwards, ANA will operate the most number of flights out of Haneda Airport, with 23 international services on 17 routes, as well as a further 37 services domestically (not including codeshare flights). To accommodate increased passenger traffic, planned customer service improvements include:

New transit bus service

The free service will help ferry passengers between international and domestic terminals, without the need to exit terminal buildings. It will be available for passengers who will be transferring between domestic and international flights arriving or departing through Terminal 2.

Designated baggage counter at domestic transit

When arriving from overseas, transit passengers are required to temporarily reclaim their baggage prior to passing through customs. The new dedicated baggage counter will be set up for passengers to re-check their baggage for the remaining leg of their flight.

Expansion of ANA lounges

Existing ANA lounges will be improved, and the airline will also open a further two lounges. The new ANA Suite Lounge and ANA Lounge will offer complimentary meals, drinks and shower facilities.

By providing more lounge choices to customers, passengers will be able to strategically choose a lounge closest to their boarding gate.

ANA will also offer two new dining concepts. The first is a restaurant within the ANA Suite Lounge called “DINING h”. With the aim of serving passengers on late-night flights, the outlet will be open everyday from 1730 to 0030. It offers a full a la carte menu of Japanese and Western dishes.

Finally, the carrier will introduce “The Connoisseurs” concept to all of its lounges. While previously available only onboard flights, a selection of “The Connoisseurs” – a menu produced in collaboration with some of the world’s finest chefs, including the likes of Pierre Herme and Yuji Wakiya – will soon be served in all ANA lounges.
