Mandarin Oriental Taipei, the group's first property in Taiwan, will begin operations in a few months.
The hotel is located on Dunhua North Road, within walking distance from Taipei Arena. It's a 15-minute drive to Xinyi shopping and business district and Taipei 101, and a five-minute drive from Songshan International Airport and 40 minutes from Taoyuan International Airport.
The hotel has 256 guestrooms and 47 suites starting at 55sqm. It also offers a presidential suite at almost 400sqm with a private spa and gym.
Restaurants include Ya Ge, a Cantonese fine dining venue with a number of private rooms, along with a selection of international favourites; Coco, a French eatery offering classic brasserie fare; and Bencotto, an Italian restaurant with a large open kitchen. On top of this there is an M.O. bar offering a range of cocktails and champagnes.
The property also provides a variety of event spaces, including the Grand Ballroom with 7.3-metre high ceiling, which accommodates up to 1,200 guests, and the Mandarin Ballroom with 500sqm of space holding up to 550 guests. Five Oriental rooms for events and conferences can also be configured in different sizes accommodating from ten to 110 guests.
Other facilities include a fitness centre, spa and 20-metre heated outdoor swimming pool.
