China’s fourth largest airline will deploy the Boeing 787 between Beijing and Seattle in January.
According to industry website airlineroute.net, Hanian Airlines will operate the service four times a week starting January 10, with flight HU495 departing from Beijing at 1625 to arrive in Seattle at 1105 on the same day. The return leg, HU496, will leave Seattle at 1300 to touch down in Beijing at 1655 the next day.
The airline has been using the Dreamliner domestically on the Beijing-Shanghai route (see story) and between its hub in Haikou and Beijing earlier this year. The B787 will also be used on a new direct Boston-Beijing service starting in June 2014 (see story), in addition to the Beijing-Chicago route that changed aircraft to a Dreamliner on December 10.
