Business Traveller Poland held its first awards ceremony in Warsaw's Sobanski Palace last night.
The gala was attended by more than 70 representatives of the airlines, hotels, car rental firms and technology giants that were nominated in 22 categories.
The awards were voted for by almost 1,000 people, including business travellers and travel managers.
Lufthansa won Best Long-Haul Airline, Best Business Class and Best Loyalty Programme for its Miles & More scheme; LOT Polish Airlines was voted Best Short-Haul Airline and Best Economy Class; Wizzair was named Best Low-Cost Airline; and British Airways won Best Premium Economy Class.
Among the airports to win an award were Warsaw Chopin Airport (Best Airport In Poland); Changi Airport in Singapore (Best Airport In The World); and Frankfurt Airport (Best Airport In Europe).
Hilton was named Best Busines Hotel Chain In The World and Best Business Hotel In Poland, and Accor won the trophy for Best Business Hotel Chain In Poland.
The awards for the Best Car Rental Company both in Poland and Europe went to Avis, while Samsonite received the statuette for the Best Luggage Brand. Toyota won in the Best Fleet Car category for its Avensis model, while the award for the Best Executive Car went to Audi for its A8.
Apple was the hands-down winner in the Best Business Smartphone category, while Dell was awarded the Best Laptop accolade.
