Hainan Airlines will start a direct Beijing-Boston service, four times a week, on June 20 next year.
The airline currently has three operations to North America, flying from the Chinese capital to Chicago (see here), Seattle and Toronto.
A 213-seat B787 will be used on the route, consisting of 36 business class seats in a 2-2-2 configuration, and 177 economy seats in a 3-3-3 across arrangement. See here for details of the airline’s Dreamliner.
The service will depart Beijing every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 1350, and arrive in Boston at 1510, leaving again at 1710 and touching down in China at 1850 the next day.
