Ryanair will launch nine new routes from Dublin next summer and also increase capacity to six UK airports.
The budget carrier is expanding operations from airports in its home market after the Irish government decided to axe its 3 euro air tax.
Ryanair has already announced more services from Shannon from next year (see news, October 24) and is now a 9 per cent growth in capacity from Dublin airport.
The new routes from Dublin will be to Almeria, Bari, Basel, Bucharest, Chania, Comiso, Lisbon, Marrakesh and Prague, which will begin in April 2014.
There will also be increased capacity to six UK airports — Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stansted and Manchester. The additional services will add a total of 100 extra weekly flights between Dublin and the UK.
As a result, Ryanair's capacity at Dublin will increase by around 700,000 seats per year to a total of 8.25 million.
Chief executive Michael O'Leary said: "We are also proud to confirm that we will create over 300 new direct jobs in Ryanair in Ireland in 2014 to crew our new based aircraft and to help us roll out our very exciting growth plans."
