Raffles Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to build a new property in Shenzhen, southern China’s economic hub.
Raffles Shenzhen will be housed in the top floors of 80-storey tower One Shenzhen Bay, which is currently under construction. With a gross floor area of approximately 470,000 sqm, the 338m mixed-use development will also house luxury residences, high-end retail outlets and office space.
The new hotel will offer 200 guestrooms and serviced residences. It will also feature four restaurants and bars, private meeting and event spaces, a Raffles Spa and bespoke service from the legendary Raffles butlers.
The signing of the Raffles Shenzhen hotel follows the successful opening of Raffles Hainan back in September. The group also manages a property in the Chinese capital of Beijing (see here).
Designed by the international architectural firm Kohn Pedersen Fox, One Shenzhen Bay is situated at the Shenzhen Bay Financial Centre, with direct connections to the new Qianhai Economic Zone. It’s also located opposite the Hong Kong Bridge and border crossing, with Hong Kong’s Central Business District a 30-minute drive away.
