Limited-service brand Tune Hotels has announced that its new property in Melbourne will open two weeks ahead of its originally scheduled launch date November 1.
The new hotel is situated at 609 Swanston Street, Carlton, next to the University of Melbourne and two streets away from the popular Lygon Street. It's also within walking distance of Queen Victoria Market and minutes from the central business district.
True to brand operations, the 225-room Tune Hotel Melbourne will offer a “pay-as-you-use” concept: guests pay for room rates only, but have the option of adding other amenities such as towels, toiletries, in-room wifi and satellite TV at an additional cost.
The property will include an indoor courtyard, a lounge, restaurant, café, convenience store, luggage storage, self-service launderette and computer kiosks. It will also be equipped with a basement car park, which is unusual for city centre hotels in Australia.
For the launch, Tune Hotels is offering a promotion from October 21 to 31. For AU$50 (US$47) per night, guests can stay in any room (double, twin and family), with the Comfort Package included at no extra costs. This includes a set of towels and toiletries, wifi and TV.
