Air France-KLM and Jet Airways have signed a codeshare agreement that will "significantly improve" the choice of destinations for their passengers in India and Europe respectively.
The arrangement is open for bookings from today and for travel from Wednesday.
It enables Air France to market flights under AF flight numbers to key Indian cities beyond Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai.
Customers travelling from Europe to India will now be able to connect with one ticket to three new Indian domestic destinations operated by Jet Airways - to Chennai via Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai and to Kolkata and Hyderabad via Mumbai and Bengaluru.
KLM will place its KL code on Jet Airways’ domestic flights to four cities in India beyond Delhi - Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Mumbai.
Members of Jet Airways' JetPrivilege and Air France-KLM's Flying Blue frequent flyer will now have the opportunity to earn status miles/points when travelling on the respective codeshare flights.
Air France-KLM offers 27 weekly long-haul flights between Europe and India.
