British Airways is to give away “hundreds” of limited edition First eye masks, as part of Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day on March 15.
The masks will be given out to passengers travelling through Heathrow T5, along with winners of a competition on the carrier’s Twitter page @British_Airways.
Celebrities including boy band One Direction and singer Matt Cardle have provided light-hearted messages to be emblazoned on the masks, including:
- “Something’s wrong with these sunglasses” – One Direction
- “Nanight, pet” – Sara Millican
- “Dreaming of a troublemaker” – Olly Murs
- “I’m not asleep!” – Matt Cardle
BA is also staging a 1980’s themed “gig in the sky” to raise money for Comic Relief, starring acts including Bananarama and Kim Wilde (see online news February 26).
