Emirates has announced it will add a fifth daily flight on the Dubai-Bangkok route from March 31 onwards, pushing the route's frequency up to 35 times per week in total.
Operated by a three-class Airbus A330-200, the fifth service will depart Dubai at 0340, arriving in the Thai capital at 1300. The return leg will depart Bangkok at 1525, touching down in Dubai at 1830.
From September 1 onwards, capacity on this fifth service will be increased from 237 passengers to at least 354 by switching to the Boeing 777-300ER.
This announcement comes shortly after the carrier announced plans to increase frequencies to three other major Southeast Asian hubs – Kuala Lumpur, Manila and Jakarta (see story here).
