Fog causes UK airport disruption

22 Oct 2012 by BusinessTraveller

Adverse weather conditions are causing delays and disruption at UK airports including Heathrow, London City, and Leeds Bradford airports this morning.

Heathrow’s website homepage advises that “Due to foggy conditions at Heathrow this morning, there are delays to certain flights. Please contact your airline for up-to-date flight information.”

Meanwhile Leeds Bradford airport reports that it is open, but that “adverse weather conditions are causing some disruption to flight schedules”, and Gatwick airport’s Twitter feed advises of “some delays and a handful of cancellations this morning”.

London City’s website states that “Due to low visibility this morning flights to/from London City Airport are experiencing disruptions. Passengers are advised to contact their airlines for more information regarding their flight status.”

The BBC’s Travel News section of its website provides up to date information on reported delays and cancellations – for more details click here.
