Aeromexico to purchase B737 MAX and B787 aircraft

25 Jul 2012 by BusinessTraveller

Skyteam carrier Aeromexico has announced a commitment for up to 100 Boeing B737 MAX and B787 Dreamliner aircraft.

The order is worth $10.8bn at list prices, and includes up to 90 B737 MAX aircraft in a mixture of the -8 and -9 variants, and ten Dreamliners.

The Mexican airline operates an all-Boeing fleet for its aircraft over 100 passengers in size.

It had previously agreed to lease Boeing B787 aircraft from aircraft lessor ILFC, and it’s not clear if that agreement will be affected by this new commitment.

The carrier joined Skyteam in 2000, and operates European services to Madrid and Paris.
