Keraton at The Plaza has officially opened its doors, making it Starwood’s first Luxury Collection property in the Jakarta.
As reported earlier (see story here), the 140-room luxury hotel is located in the commercial Thamrin district as part of Plaza Indonesia mall, neighbouring other famous hotels such as the Grand Hyatt and Hotel Indonesia Kempinski. The hotel features an elegant décor that consists of Batik floral prints and intricate art pieces, such as a mural of Javanese artwork and a hand-crafted wood piece adorned with antique gold.
Staying true to the meaning of Keraton, which is the Javanese word for palace, the hotel will offer the brand’s signature 24-hour Luxury Collection concierge, in-room massage treatment services and complimentary wifi internet access in guestrooms and the lobby. Other facilities include two restaurants, a spa, gym and swimming pool.
Following this opening, there will be three more Luxury Collection hotels opening in Asia in the next six months: The Royal Begonia in Sanya, Twelve at Hengshan in Shanghai and ITC Grand Chola in Chennai.
