Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts has officially begun a major refurbishment project at its flagship hotel in Singapore, the largest in the property's 25 years of history. Guestrooms, restaurants and the lobby are to be transformed and enhanced.
Parts of the hotel began to be closed off for renovation yesterday (April 15), with some of these areas due to reopen in August. They will include 150 guestrooms and the public areas on level one. The rest of the facelift is to be completed in September, when the hotel is to be fully operational again.
Facilities such as the Pacific Ballroom, the pool, gym and spa are unaffected by the project in the coming months and will remain open. They can be accessed through the ballroom foyer and the driveway.
The new design of the hotel will embody the “Pacific touch, a sensory expression of the unique culture, geography, design and heritage of the Pacific Rim.” All facilities will be installed with advanced technology and a fresh new colour palette. The hotel will also replace the Chinese restaurant Hai Tien Lo with a new Pacific Club on Level 38 offering 360-degree views of the city – a highlight of the refreshed property.
