The Mere set to reopen as hotel and golf resort

9 Mar 2012 by BusinessTraveller

The Mere Golf Resort and Spa will reopen as a hotel offering 81 rooms and new dining options on Monday March 12.

Located in Knutsford, Cheshire, the venue has invested £15 million adding hotel rooms to its existing golf, spa and conference facilities.

The 81 rooms and suites are housed with the main Victorian building, and feature free wifi, iPod docking stations, feather and goose down duvets and pillows, and 1,200 interior sprung divan and mattresses. Many of the room overlook the property’s lake and championship golf course.

Meeting and events spaces have also been revamped, and two new restaurants have been added – gourmet brasserie Browns at The Mere featuring a glass atrium roof and glass-encased wine wall, and the Club Lounge and Bar with views over the 18th hole.

The property also has a 20-metre indoor swimming pool, a “thermal zone”, seven spa treatment rooms, and The Spa Lounge and Bar.
