In a move to step up its commitment to its premium class passengers, Singapore Airlines has launched a private jet partnership with JetSuite.
Passengers flying into one of SIA’s US gateways – Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Newark and Houston – can connect onwards to destinations within two-hour flying time on a four-passenger JetSuite Embraer Phenom 100 jet at special rates available only to them. First class passengers will receive additional discounts of up to US$500 per person one-way. JetSuite will also offer car transfers between the arrival terminal to the private jet terminal for these passengers.
To avail of this service, passengers will need to make a booking with JetSuite directly through a dedicated phone number for SIA passengers.
Other carriers that offer similar arrangements include British Airways, which launched a partnership with US private aviation company CitationAir in 2010 (see story here), and Lufthansa, since 2005 (see story here). These developments reflect a growing demand for private aviation around the world.
