Heathrow T3 will open the art deco-inspired Oriel brasserie later this week, two years after the original Oriel restaurant closed in London’s Chelsea district.
The brasserie operated on Sloane Square for some 25 years, but closed in February 2010 after the building’s owner Cadogan Esatates ended the lease.
The brand will now be relaunched within the international departures lounge at Heathrow’s Terminal Three, with a 115-cover art deco space serving “classic French dishes with a modern twist” including an all-day Petit Dejeuner, Omelette Arnold, and Pain Perdu - French toast with strawberries, blueberries, bananas and maple syrup.
The brasserie will feature “a cosmopolitan bar and art work celebrating the golden age of travel”, and will be run by restaurant group Tragus, which also operates under the Café Rouge, Bella Italia and Strada brands.
