Alex McWhirter led a quadruple prize-winning haul for the Business Traveller team at the 2011 Business Travel Journalism Awards, which were held at the May Fair hotel, in London.
The magazine’s consumer editor won the Journalists’ Business Travel Journalist of the Year award, which was decided by a private ballot at the start of the evening.
Senior features writer Jenny Southan won two awards – Environmental Journalist of the Year for the second year running, as well as Features Writer of the Year in the “Destinations” category.
Editorial assistant Rose Dykins took home the award for Best Newcomer to Business Travel Journalism. And Business Traveller's Four-Hour Guide supplement was short-listed for Best Business Travel Supplement.
The event was organised by Carlson Wagonlit Travel and judged by a panel of journalists, business travel managers and industry experts.
