Virgin Atlantic will commence four-times weekly flights from London Heathrow to Vancouver in May 2012, competing with BA and Air Canada on the route.

Tickets will go on sale on December 1, with flights departing Heathrow on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 1300, arriving in Vancouver at 1510. The return leg will depart at 1950, landing back into London at 1345 the following day.

The service will be operated by an A340-300 aircraft configured for 34 Upper Class seats, 35 premium economy seats and 171 in economy.
