Emirates to launch Dublin route

Emirates is to launch a daily route between Dubai and Dublin from January 2012, joining fellow gulf carrier Etihad Airways in offering direct, nonstop flights to the Irish capital.

The route will commence on January 9, 2012, departing Dubai at 0700 and arriving in Dublin at 1130. The return leg will leave Ireland at 1255, landing back in Dubai at 0025 the following day.

Flights will be operated with A330-200 aircraft configured for economy, business and first class.

Etihad Airways currently offers ten flights per week from Dublin to Abu Dhabi, with a mixture of morning (0920) or evening (2055) departures from Ireland.
