Singapore Airlines’ regional subsidiary, Silk Air, will launch four weekly flights between Singapore and Kolkata from August 1, 2011.
The new flight, to operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, will depart Singapore at 2100 and arrive in Kolkata at 2235. The return leg will depart Kolkata at 2350, arriving back in Singapore at 0630 the following day.
As a result of this new service, SIA will reduce flight frequency to Kolkata from four times a week to three times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Together, the two carriers offer one flight daily to the Indian city.
