Raffles Hotels and Resorts is to open its first property in Turkey, a 180-room hotel in the country’s largest city Istanbul.
Raffles Istanbul Zorlu Cemtre is scheduled to open towards the end of 2012, and will be housed within a mixed-use complex which will “bring together a performing arts centre, offices, residential property, retail and the hotel – all with a Bosphorus view”.
The hotel will feature 130 rooms and 50 suites, with standard rooms starting from 65sqm. Facilities will include a ballroom with capacity for 1,200 delegates, two restaurants and bars, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a 3,000sqm spa, and a heliport.
There are currently nine hotels within the Raffles portfolio, in Singapore, Cambodia, China, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles and Paris. New openings are also set for the Maldives, Indonesia, the Philippines and China over the next two years.
