Heathrow Terminal 4 has celebrated its 25th anniversary, having been opened by Princess Diana and Prince Charles on April 1, 1986.
Nearly 285 million passengers have travelled through the terminal since it opened, and a total of 38 airlines currently serve 53 destinations from T4.
The facility was recently named “Europe’s most improved terminal” by Airports Council International, with more than £170 million being invested on a modernisation programme, including a 6,000sqm extension and work continuing on the baggage reclaim and arrivals areas.
Business Traveller recently published an extensive guide to all terminals at Heathrow, with detailed information on who flies from where, hotel options, parking, executive lounges, shopping and dining, and furture developments. To download this free guide click here.
T4’s upgrade programme has allowed many airlines to relocate from the now demolished Terminal 2, which is making way for the forthcoming Heathrow East development.
