Serviced apartment operator Ascott has completed its multi-million pound refurbishment of the Citadines Prestige Holborn-Covent Garden.
The renovated “apart’hotel” has 192 studios and one-bedroom apartments, all “intelligently restyled” by Shoreditch-based architects BuckleGrayYeoman. Each apartment has a bathroom and kitchen, modern furniture, bamboo flooring, a flat screen TV and free wired and wifi broadband.
Facilities include a business zone complete with Mac computers, five meeting rooms and parking. The 24-hour reception area has been restyled in “natural wood and subtle colour tones”, and an adjoining relaxation area has sofas and a fireplace.
The refurbishment is part of an “intensive transformation programme in Europe”, according to Ascott. Citadines Trafalgar Square London is being considered for a refurbishment to begin in March, and in Paris two Citadines properties – Les Halles and Montparnasse – will undergo a similar renovation later this year. Citadines in Brussels, Grenoble, Lille, and Lyon are also in line for refurbishment.
