25 Aug 2010 by BusinessTraveller

Qatar Airways has donated five pairs of auction tickets for the Friday session of the final England vs Pakistan test match at Lord's. All proceeds go to the Red Cross Pakistan Floods Appeal, and the weather forecast is sunny!

Monsoon rains have caused extensive flooding throughout Pakistan, killing more than a thousand people and causing widespread damage. Around 14 million people have been affected and around 900,000 homes have been damaged or destroyed.

The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement has reached around 300,000 people since the floods hit, providing much needed food, health services, shelter and relief items, and in the coming months plans to reach around 2.1 million people.

Bidding for the tickets closes at 1400 GMT (1500 BST) on Thursday August 26, and the winning bidders will be notified by telephone / email by 1730 BST on the same day.
