Servisair opens executive lounge at Luton

12 Aug 2010 by AndrewGough

Airport lounge operator Servisair has officially opened the doors to its ‘Someries’ Executive Lounge at London Luton Airport.

Named after Someries Castle two miles away to the north of Luton, the lounge is available on a pay-per-use basis and has all the usual offerings, such as free soft and alcoholic drinks, snacks and newspapers.

A competition to name the lounge was launched back in March this year, with the prize of a year’s free access (see online news March 10).

Julie Renshaw, general manager of Servisair Lounges, said the name had been chosen from among 250 competition entrees for the “close connection” it had with the surrounding area.

Servisair now operates 27 lounges at airports throughout the UK, Europe and North America.
