CX marks 20 years of serving LA, adds three new flights

7 May 2010

Cathay Pacific is marking 20 years of flying between Hongkong and Los Angeles, adding three more flights to its current twice daily non-stop service. This increases frequency on the route to 17 weekly.

The extra flights depart from Chek Lap Kok airport at 1.10 every Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Aircraft utilised on the route is a Boeing B777-300ER aircraft, equipped with First, Business and Economy Class cabins.

The service enhancement is part of CX's moves to strengthen the North American sector. In March, it added three more weekly flights to the previous daily Toronto frequency and retimed one of the two daily flights to San Francisco to depart at 11.55pm from Hongkong, giving passengers a choice of daytime or nighttime slots.
