AirAsia abolishes administrative fee on all flights

25 Jun 2009

The budget carrier has removed the administrative fee from its fare structure for all AirAsia and AirAsia X flights in a bid to stimulate travel within the region.

Passengers stand to save between MYR22 (US$6) and MYR43 (US$12) per flight depending on the length of their route.

The implementation of the ‘No Admin Fee’ policy means that passengers booking flights on AirAsia’s website will see all-inclusive flight prices throughout their booking processes. These prices are comprised of air fare and airport tax. The change has been implemented and is effective for ticket bookings on and after June 24.

In addition, AirAsia has launched a regional promotion, which is available for booking until June 28 and valid for travel between October 1 and April 30, 2010. The promotion is available exclusively on AirAsia’s website.

“With ‘No Admin Fee’ more people will travel with AirAsia, especially in view of the current economic uncertainties and travel worries,” said Tony Fernandes, CEO of AirAsia.
