BAA's Worldpoints agreement to end at Gatwick

13 May 2009 by BusinessTraveller

BAA is to cease its Worldpoints programme at London Gatwick airport from the end of August, ahead of the enforced sale of the facility.

Members of the Worldpoints scheme will no longer be able to earn points or spend vouchers at the airport after August 31.

BAA is currently considering bids from various parties for Gatwick airport, following the decision by the Competition Commission that the operator must sell its facilities at Gatwick, Stansted, and one of either Glasgow or Edinburgh (see online news March 19).
