New six-star hotel for Dubai

The Monarch DubaiDubai has another contender for the title of “most luxurious hotel” with the opening of the Monarch, Dubai.

The 33-storey hotel has 236 rooms, suites and serviced residences and is located at One Sheikh Zayed Road. The property has a staff-to-guest ratio of 3.5 to 1 and all room prices include private butlers, airport transfers from Dubai airport, breakfast and wifi. Lead-in rates start at £499 for executive room (56 sqm) and go up to £5,381 for the top suites.

Personal trainers for wellness assessments and individual fitness plans are available at the Quantum Health Club, which features an outdoor swimming pool, spa bath, sauna, gymnasium and the Mandara Spa.

The eight restaurants and lounges in the hotel offer European, Indian and Japanese cuisine as well as fine-dining at The Empire restaurant.

For meetings there is a dedicated conference and events floor with 13 meeting rooms and two boardrooms, an open-plan business centre, business offices and conference butlers, and a ballroom which can seat up to 500 for a formal dinner.

Monarch is the luxury brand of Refad Hotels and Resorts, Kuwait, which owns and operates five international properties (including the Monarch Hotel and Convention Centre near Munich) with a further six under construction. Refad has three other brands which are Square, Four Stars and Rester, and has plans to acquire 30 new properties over the next five years.
