MartynSinclairParticipantCan someone recommend a restaurant in Zurich area please:
**dinner – midweek
**tables not squeezed close together
**good view
**excellent food
**suitable for a “cosy” dinner/atmosphere
**25 minutes max from the city centre (car/taxi)
**can be tucked away (i.e. not a high profile busy establishement)
Many thanks

degreecyParticipantAfter having spent 3 years in Zurich off and on, here are a few suggestions:
Terrasse Restaurant is great. If weather is good you can get a nice table outside near the lake.
Madrid – is an excellent spanish restaurant downtown.
Ginger – fantastic sushi place, but might be a bit too cosy (in Seefeld area)
Brasserie Lipp – nice french brasserie in town.
However, Casa Aurelio – is one of the best restaurants in Zurich, about 10 mins from centre. Owned by same guy for 30 years. Quite expensive but food and service is fantastic.

TheGruffaloParticipantYou can try Hiltl. They have amazing Vegetarian food. If the weather is nice, then you can get a table outside.

MartynSinclairParticipantWe were very lucky with the weather last night.
Stayed at the Sheraton, which from the outside looked nothing, but on the inside is a gem (subsequently told that its the smallest hotel in the world to carry the Sheraton brand).
For dinner the choice was made by my dinner guest who was local and we went to the Zurichberg hotel. Had dinner outside with tremendous views over Zurich.
As an aside, through IRIS in T5 and onto the POD (I love it) within a few minutes of landing and back in N. London inside the hour.
As for the other Q’s, will leave that for another thread……………
Happy weekend and here’s to an England win tonight.

I had the most amazing Sole there. Fresh and perfectly done.
