Watch out for your British Airways 2011 Shareholder Discount Code, which was emailed out Wednesday 10 November in an email with the heading “British Airways Plc Half-Year Results”.
Quite apart from the dodgy use of the ellision “Half-Year”, I do wish they would make these email headings more explicit, making it clear they contain the crucial codes to access the discount.
The following document is now available for you to view or download at http://www.bashareholders.com.
Overview Magazine, incorporating the 2010 half-year financial report for the six months ended 30 September 2010.
Subject to the terms and conditions, as the holder of at least 200 British Airways shares on the record date of 29 October 2010, you can receive a 10% discount on any BA published fare (fees, surcharges etc do not qualify for the discount) if you book your British Airways flights online during 2011. For the full terms and conditions of this service please click on the following hyperlink:
Terms and Conditions 2011:
To use your discount you will need to be able to quote your Shareholder Reference and Discount Reference Numbers, both of which are shown at the foot of this email. By using this service you will be assumed to have read the terms and conditions.
Your Shareholder Reference Number: xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Your Discount Reference Number: xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Valid for bookings made on-line at http://www.bashareholders.com from 1 January 2011 to 31 December 2011
It is rumoured that the discount may even extend to Iberia flights in due course.
Of course, many apologies.
Please detail your bank account, sort code, mother’s maiden name, full name and address, username and the first, second, third, fourth and fifth digits of your password and I’ll send it to you immediately.
Looks highly likely that the discount will be extended to Iberia flights in due course.
Here is the shareholder booking link in case anyone can’t find it post-merger:
