I suppose the news was not unexpected.
Wizzair’s business plan is to “move capacity around” so told a former UK boss in an interview with LBC’s Nick Ferrari in 2020 during the pandemic.
Today comes news that Cardiff airport is to lose no fewer than nine routes from September.
In their place Wizzair says it will launch two new routes: Bucharest and Milan.

As might be expected it’s big news in Wales.

Readers may remember it was Wizzair that confirmed Cardiff schedules for summer 2021 but only one day later said it wouldn’t fly from Cardiff until summer 2022.
