Talking of inefficient passport control, I have just arrived BCN from non-Schengen to utter chaos. Probably at least an hour queue, people backed up on escalators, police shouting. Nightmare.
Sequel to above, queued from 2230 (BCN time) until about 2320 with the queue getting longer and more bad tempered and eventually they gave up and waved everyone through. Great security.
Maybe they should have shops and bars airside inbound, let people take a number and then sit and wait. I now have another hour to wait as both flights I’m waiting for a delayed.
