Some of you may already have seen the reports on social media …

When Turkish Airlines (TK) chairman visited Melbourne recently it was revealed his airline would unveil a new business class product in May … although it would some time before this new business class would be retrofitted to TK’s long-haul fleet.

All would be made clear at the Aircraft Interiors trade show will takes place in Hamburg, May 28-30.

Whilst I understand that TK must keep up with the competition what I cannot understand is the chairman’s view that his airline will not restore premium economy.

(TK used to have such a product but it was axed some years ago)

Of course things might change (no certainty in aviation) but if that were true then TK would be like Qatar Airways in having a two-class configuration (A380 excepted for QR).

But with a new boss at Qatar Airways there is no guarantee that this airline will remain two-class.
